3D CAD Viewer – in the past and today

When we startet selling a 3D CAD Viewer about 15 years ago, the topic of CAD Visualization was widely unknown in germany. The first users were thrilled about the concept of "View CAD Data – without a CAD System".

Broader spectrum – more features

Since that time, the market and especially the requirements of the users have changed. Accordingly, the typical CAD Viewer now offers a broader range of utilization potential and features. Many users are still fine with "just a quick view" on the file (and with the new 'Quick Open' function, this can now be done quicker than ever!). However, most users now utilize their CAD Viewer for measuring&dimensioning, markup, analyzing CAD models, creation of virtual assemblies/prototypes and much more as well.

The main feature remains – Importinterfaces

No matter how versatile the features – a good solution for CAD visualization succeeds especially with its available CAD import formats. It is important to respond continuously to new developments and trends – new versions of established CAD formats demand a prompt update of the importinterfaces of the CAD Viewer (to the list of available import formats).

Consistent development with one goal: "THE" CAD Viewer

With our CAD Viewer Kubotek KeyView we want to make the process of development transparent for all users (and interested people). For that purpose we have published a development plan, which is being updated on a regular basis (to the development plan).
